Okay, so apparently my Gaydar is only a little above average. I'm better at detecting guy liking guys than girl liking girls. Go figure... Fandom influences? LOL. Either way, I woke up bored and this is what I do to avoid working at my books :p HELP!!! Am gearing for exams at the moment, really should stop hanging around online ne.

Alright, am new to LJ business but have been lurking around reading other people's entries etc. Am not too sure what the etiquette is around LJ but just a friendly heads-up to people with similar interests, I will be friend-ing and am very happy if you accept and friend me back. Though my entries are probably gonna be unexciting. And if you rather not, then I will respect your decision and un-friend (are these even proper English words?) LOL. Thank you
mer_duff and
wolfoflegends for adding yours truly as a friend. It was indeed a pleasant surprise and if I can figure out how to reply to those messages I would thank ya in person!
And on a totally unrelated note: YES, I TOTALLY loved the Season 4 promo pics of House MD! I want a Teddy like Doc Wilson has ^___^

Unbelievable...
I know I am a romantic at heart. Never could resist the sweet recitation of Sonnet 116. Or the melodious voice of Alan Rickman in Sense & Sensibility. Felt myself swooning there... Even as a depressed android in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy he so completely cracked me up.
But today's girly moment honestly took the cake.
There I was relaxing after a hard day's work with a lovely array of food, when my housemate switched channels to "The Big Day". And promptly left the room. So, I'm watching two families and friends working together to build a dream wedding for this couple with a budget of £9000 (where according to professionals the average wedding costs in UK is about £17200 at the moment). I'm enjoying my food. I'm enjoying a wedding preparation show. The show professionals are running the family members and best mates to ground for the grand ceremony in a week's time. The next 20 minutes had these poor souls renting a conference center's CORRIDOR to hold the reception (for a sum of £400), finding materials to make a cream-and-chocolate wedding theme, ditching a fab wedding gown (£1200) for a Oxfam hand-me-down gown (£200) yada yada yada.
I laughed and snickered all the way till the last 5 minutes, when everything fell into place - the groom was woken at the crack of dawn to the sound of his beloved's voice recording of 'their song", the altered-and-totally-remodelled gown was revealed to our blushing bride. Every powerful moment packed into the last five minutes. Mates grinning proudly while presenting the fabulous reception hall to the newly weds. No longer a corridor full of doors but a tastefully decorated room with cascading cream-&-choc sheets, panels of Photos of our boy and girl, golden pears with chocolate leaves dictating seating arrangements, tower of mini-cakes baked by girlfriends and sisters-in-law, white rose and thistles bouquets, scattered flower petals and so much tears. I swear the groom had moist eyes when he woke to the lovely serenade. The bride and her mom and her best friend definitely cried when she finally saw her wedding gown. Even the seamstress who did the alterations had wet eyes. Ohboy , and there I was blubbering right along with the best of them. WHY???!
My bro laughed at me. Tick-tock says the clock. Me, I just wanna forget this episode happened and resume my toughgal persona. At least there was House to cheer me up tonight. The Chase-Cameron-8yearoldpervertboy & House-Cuddy-Wilson triangles were just hilarious! Not too sure about the medical side of things but hey, rare doesn't mean zero percent. Love love love House :)
Adieu~

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;

Half an hour past yesterday and I cannot stop thinking about Heroes... Finally watched the very first episode on BBC2 (was it?) with my lovely mates and such a girly session to be had - cooing and shrieking, properly appreciative we were... oh boy. I feel another 'H' addiction coming up. What is it with me and the letter H? Harry Potter, House MD and now this.new.obsession.
Now I know what the girls were raving about. Definately keeping my Wednesday nights free from now.
Logging out, Ta!
